The WNBA's 30th season is about to start, the 2028 Olympics will be hosted in the U.S., and new professional leagues are popping up everywhere. And I can't resist talking about basketball, even if it's to myself on the internet.

USA Olympic women's basketball and the WNBA are inextricably connected so I want to look at the history of both the WNBA and the USA Olympic women's basketball teams, side-by-side, starting with the 2024 Olympic team.

First, we'll look at the WNBA careers of the 12 players from the 2024 roster - this will be Chapter or Part One. We'll do the same for each Olympic roster, ending with the 1996 team.
